We will explore the essential skills needed to deal effectively with cross-examination and explain the variety of techniques used by barristers when seeking to undermine opinion evidence.

Effective preparation is vital to an expert witness’s performance in court. An expert’s ability to identify the fundamental issues in a case and to communicate expert opinions clearly, often in the face of informed cross-examination, will be the ultimate measure of success. This requires of the expert high-quality evidential analysis and communication skills.
