A ‘Personal License’ is a license granted to an individual thatauthorises that individual to sell alcohol by retail, or to authorise the retail sale of alcohol, in accordance with a premises license, or to sell alcohol by retail, supply alcohol, or authorise the supply of alcohol by or on behalf of a club to, to the order of, a member of a club.
This qualification is one of the requirements of the personal license application process. It is necessary to either hold a personal license or be authorised by a personal license holder to carry out the retail sale of alcohol.
