The IQ Level 2Certificate in Knowledge of Community Fire Safety (QCF) is the knowledge component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Community Safety within the Community Safety (England) framework.

To achieve the qualification learners must achieve 14 credits from the 8 mandatory units.
Understand factors affecting road safety
Understand fire safety in the home
Understand how to reduce risk of arson
Understand how to safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults
Understand prevention of risks posed by substance use in relation to community safety
Understand principles and practices of Home Safety Checks
Understand principles of fire prevention and protection
Understand safe working when in the community
Assessment for this qualification is by portfolio, internally set and marked and externally quality assured by IQ.
This qualification is designed to offer an entry level qualification for those wishing to join Fire and Rescue Services or Local Authorities as a Community Safety (Fire) Advisor or other similar roles where a thorough working knowledge of the principles of fire prevention and protection are required.
Fire Marshall £10 an hour
Facilities Assistant £9.11 – £11.35 an hour
Learners who achieve this qualification can progress to the IQ Level 2 Award in Conflict Management, or the Level 3 Operations in the Community Apprenticeship.
